BTCCSquare news:

Nathan Allman, founder and CEO of Ondo Finance, passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2026. The company announced his death without disclosing the cause. Ian De Bode, previously president since November 2025, has assumed the role of chief executive immediately.

Allman founded Ondo in 2021 after a tenure at Goldman Sachs' digital assets desk. Under his leadership, the firm pioneered tokenized Treasury funds and yield-bearing stablecoins, later expanding into tokenized equities. "Nate's brilliance, humility, and drive shaped every part of what Ondo is today," the company stated in a tribute.

De Bode takes the helm after overseeing strategy and operations for two years. The transition occurs as Ondo continues developing infrastructure to bridge traditional finance with blockchain technology—a vision Allman championed.
